IAM District 78 and Local 103 Collect Winter Jackets For Community Shelter Residents in Need

IAM District Lodge 78, along with Local Lodge 103, collected more than 40 winter jackets for Cambridge Shelter (Bridges) over the holiday season.

Local 103 members employed by Bridges then distributed the jackets to residents of the shelter in need.

The collection and donation went so well that Local 103 members have now begun a collection for gently used safety work boots/shoes for Bridges’s residents.  

We all know that many employers require safety footwear in the workplace. For people who don’t have the financial ability to purchase the footwear, this can be a barrier to employment.

Local 103 has collected several pairs already. If you have a pair in good condition, please consider dropping them off at the District 78 office.
