IAM Local Lodge 1295 Forms Women’s Committee

IAM Local Lodge 1295 sisters formed their official Women’s committee at their monthly General meeting in January 2020.

The sisters hit the ground running and already have an idea of what they would like to do. 

One of the committee’s first initiatives, suggested by member Betty Williams, will be to create joy boxes, a collection of donated items including toiletries and feminine hygiene products, which would then be donated by the local to shelters to reach women in need.

The boxes, as the committee aptly stated, are “a joy to give, a joy to receive.”

Posters will soon be created and distributed to Local 1295 workplaces.
