Boeing lawsuit grounded by USITC Friday January 26, 2018 For Immediate Release Washington, D.C. – The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) has ruled in favour of Bombardier in its dispute with Boeing. “I’m floored,” said a jubilant IAM Québec Coordinator David Chartrand. “This is the best news we had in a year and I couldn’t be happier for our Québec members,” said IAM Canadian General Vice President Stan Pickthall.
Union Brother Benno Rudolph Joseph Dubler passed away December 25, 2017 at the age of 94 years at his home in Elora, Ontario.
Benno was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, in the Machine Shop as a Machinist on March 28, 1960, at that time becoming a member of IAM&AW LL 1863 (now LL 1975).

Over the last few years, the IAM has been the major participant in the CLC Parliament Hill Lobby Days. Let’s continue to hit above our weight and make Lobby Days 2018 even more successful!
Four topics are being considered for inclusion in the lobby day; including pharmacare, pay equity, pension and bankruptcy reform, and employment insurance. The registration is now open for the CLC lobby day on February 6, 2018. A mandatory planning and training session will be held on February 5, 2018 at 6 pm at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Ottawa City Centre.
All lobby day attendees must be registered through the online form in order to participate in the lobby. Please identify who from your Local Lodge will be coming to participate in the lobby. Union Brother Anthony ‘Tony’ Jeacock passed away January 2, 2018 at the age of 77 years.
Tony was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, in the Machine Shop as a Machinist on January 5, 1970, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863 (now LL 1975), and retired in July 1, 2005.
A Celebration of Tony’s life was held at Williams Funeral Home in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, January 9, 2018.
