District 78 Kicks Off the New Year With First General Meeting
On January 9, 2020, IAM District Lodge 78 held its first General Meeting of the new year. The meeting was well attended and provided local delegates with a valuable opportunity to share and connect.
Discussion and motions at the meeting included:
- Sending members to the CLC Lobby in Ottawa (February 24-25, 2020), and encouraging locals to do the same.
- Member engagement and service to the community, including recent holiday drives, charitable initiatives, and the amazing work of our local women’s committees.
- Workplace reports from local delegates.
- Monthly review of District financials.
In 2020, our District is more than ready to continue to defend workers’ rights and grow our service to the community.
2020 is the #YearOfTheUnion!
