Staff of Ontario Elementary Teachers of Toronto ratify agreement

Toronto, ON – District 78 IAM Local Lodge 1922 members employed by the Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) recently ratified a new three-year agreement. The new agreement includes increases to wages and the IAM pension plan in each year of the agreement, as well as improvements to contract language.

“A special thank you to Chief Steward Stephen Michalowicz for all his dedication and hard work during this very lengthy and challenging round of negotiations,” said Directing Business Representative Kim Valliere.

IAM represents office staff employed the Elementary Teachers of Toronto, as well as many other staff working for unions.

The IAM has become the new home for several groups of business representatives and other staff from unions across Canada – United Food and Commercial Workers, Canadian Labour Congress, Nova Scotia Government Employees, and the IBEW in Sudbury.
