IAM District 78 Joins Rally to Demand Justice For Workers at Fiera Foods
Last week, a fifth temporary agency worker was killed at Fiera Foods, a Toronto food processing plant.
The Ontario Federation of Labour organized a rally at the facility on October 2, 2019 to express the labour community’s outrage at Fiera’s management and owners and to demand justice.
“This employer has repeatedly demonstrated a complete disregard for the safety of those that work there, leaving yet another family grieving the loss of their loved one,” said Ontario Federation of Labour President Chris Buckley.
IAM District 78 members share those feelings and took part in the demonstration.
“An injury to one, is an injury to all.”
