IAM members at Local Lodge 3111 ratify new contract with CLC

IAM Union Local 3111 workers employed at the Canadian Labour Congress ratified a new three-year contract recently. The agreement includes wage increases in each year of the contract, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation statutory holiday, and benefit and language improvements. “This round of negotiations was very productive”, said Business Representative Jim Snider. Through hard work, the committee was able to present a good contract to the membership. They really worked well together.

“We had a hybrid style of negotiations where some of the committee were in person, and others were virtual. I would like to thank the Negotiating Committee of Deanna Ogle, Kim Kent, Serge Landry and an extra thank you to Andrew Southworth, who keep everything organized, in order and moving forward each day”, added Snider.

The Canadian Labour Congress is the largest labour organization in Canada, bringing together dozens of national and international unions, provincial and territorial federations of labour and community-based labour councils to represent more than 3 million workers across the country. IAM members at the CLC are based across Canada.
