The IAM Union, District 78, Stands in Solidarity at the International Women’s Day Celebration

Members of our district proudly participated in the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration hosted by the Peel Regional Labour Council (PRLC) International Women’s Day Committee. The event brought together union members, community advocates, and allies to recognize the contributions of women and renew the commitment to equality.

IAM Union District 78 was also a proud Gold sponsor of this celebration.

International Women’s Day is both a celebration and a call to action, acknowledging the tremendous efforts of women across social, cultural, economic, and political spheres while continuing the fight for equality. The gathering honoured the struggles and achievements of women and strengthened the spirit of solidarity within the labour movement and the broader community.

Our sincere thanks to the PRLC and the International Women’s Day Committee for organizing such an impactful event. Such events are important for connection, solidarity and commitment to the long and important journey ahead and to a more just and equitable future.
