IAM AT THE 2026 CLC CONVENTION

More than 40 IAM delegates from across the country have gathered this week in Winnipeg alongside thousands of labour leaders and union delegates from across Canada to celebrate and strengthen the voice of Canadian workers.

This year’s theme is: We Build, We are, We Fight.

Throughout the week, delegates heard from several inspiring panels and speakers, including CLC Officers Bea Bruske (CLC President), Siobhan Vipond (CLC Executive VP), Lily Chang (CLC ST), and Larry Rousseau (CLC Executive VP), as well as Liz Shuler, President of the AFL-CIO, Judith Kirton-Darling, Deputy General Secretary of industriAll Europe, Wab Kinew, Premier of Manitoba, and many other labour leaders from across North America.

IAM Canadian General Vice-President David Chartrand also addressed the room, speaking about the importance of solidarity and the power of unions in protecting workers across the country.

A strong and inspiring convention focused on solidarity, action and the future of the labour movement.
