FILAMAT WORKERS RATIFY STRONG NEW AGREEMENT
Filamat workers from Local 1922 ratified a strong new agreement, bringing smiles all around.
This 3-year contract will bring major gains for members including yearly wage increases, improved premiums and stronger benefits.
This includes increases per year in pensions, evening and night shifts premium increase, additional family members included in Bereavement Language, increase in Life Insurance amount, increased amount for eyewear, contact lenses, prescription safety eyewear, better adoption language to include protected leaves and an additional personal day.
A huge victory for the workers and a stronger future ahead. Superb job done by District 78’s Business Representative Vivianne Simon, who alongside the negotiation and bargaining team members Biswajit Maraj – Chief Steward and Tenzin Therdoe – Shop steward, worked hard to make this happen!
