District 78’s latest wins!

We are pleased to share some of the latest victories achieved through your strength, solidarity, and continued engagement.

ParaMed Clinics
A new multi-year agreement has been secured with meaningful improvements across the board. Members will benefit from steady wage increases, enhanced premiums, and additional financial recognition. The agreement also includes improvements to bereavement leave, expanded family definitions, increased vacation entitlements, and added health and wellness supports. Important updates to protected leave language, including adoption, further strengthen member rights and inclusivity.
Kudos to Stewards Vanessa Burnett and Kemi Omodara for a commendable job in assisting Vivianne Simon Business Representative of District 78 -Canadian Territory to get these great wins.

Commercial Cleaning Services (formerly Domclean)
Members have ratified a new agreement that delivers consistent wage growth over the term, along with improvements to premiums and workplace supports. The contract introduces additional personal and float days, enhanced safety provisions, and stronger bereavement language. It also includes important updates to protected leaves, recognition of the union, and clear commitments from the employer regarding regular labour-management meetings and accountability for payroll accuracy.
We would like to commend the efforts of Steward Cathy Smith who did a great job with Business Representative Vivianne Simon throughout the process.
