Union Brother Larry Watson passed away February 7, 2024.

Larry was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a fitter in the Finished Products Dept. on February 22, 1971, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Larry retired from the plant in 2006.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Goderich Legion, Branch 109, Kingston Street.

Union Brother David “Dave” Fee passed away December 28, 2023.

Dave was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a stock controller in the Parts Dept. on March 23, 1966, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Dave retired in 1997.

Interment at the Maitland Cemetery in the spring of 2024.

Union Brother Ronald “Ron” Hamilton passed away August 30, 2023.

Ron was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a welder in the Fabrication Dept. on October 10, 1984, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Jack retired in 2005.

Funeral gathering at 10am and Service at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich, Ontario, followed by interment at the Maitland Cemetery at 12 p.m., and luncheon at the Legion Branch 109 in Goderich, Ontario at 12:30 p.m.

Union Brother Wayne Bruce Dupee

March 16, 1947  June 29, 2023
Wayne was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a fitter in Finished Products on September 10, 1973, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Wayne was there until the plant closed in 2009.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life to be held at Clinton Royal Canadian Legion, 95 Kirk Street, Clinton, on Friday July 21, 2023 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Union Brother Ross A. “Sandy” Andrews|
08-Jun-1934 – 30-Jun-2023 

Sandy was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, on February 1, 1961, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Sandy became a Quality Inspector Lead Hand and retired c1999.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 1 P.M. at Dungannon Cemetery. A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will follow from 2-5 P.M. at the Goderich Legion.

There will be a private graveside service at the Kintail Cemetery at a later date.

Union Brother Glenn “Fergie” Ferguson

passed away June 20, 2023.

Glenn was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a machinist in the Machine Shop on September 5, 1974, at that time became a member of IAMAW LL1863. Glenn was there until the plant closed in 2009.

Fergie is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Margie) Ferguson of 49 years.
He was the proud father of Joan (Jay) Austin, Glenn (Anne) and Nathan (Stacy) Ferguson all of Goderich.
He is also survived by his much adored grandchildren, Haley,
Chloe, Katie, Camryn, Jordyn, Bennett and Callie. And great-granddaughter,
Ella.
Fergie is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Allie Ferguson and an infant brother, John Henry all of Delhi.

 

Union Brother William “Bill” Park

passed away June 9, 2023.

Bill was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a machinist in the Machine Shop on January 21, 1972, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Bill retired on April 1st, 1997.

Bill is resting at McCallum and Palla Funeral home where the visitation will be on Monday, June 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Internment is at Colborne Cemetery.

MANUEL “MANNY” CRESENCIA

Brother Manny was a machinist with Megallen Aerospace for many years in LL717T

He held the positions of communicator for the DL78 and OPCM and could always be found with a camera in his hand; capturing the moments at every function. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. 

Visitation at Glen Oaks Funeral Home Friday, June 16th 2023 from 5pm-8pm
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 11am with an hour of visitation prior to the service. 

The Service will also be Live Streamed for those how can not attend and a recording will also be available.

 Ron was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, as a machinist in the Machine Shop on January 16, 1974, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863. Ron retired in 2006.

 Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with visitation prior from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at the Egmondville Cemetery.

Union Brother Donald M. Plunkett passed away November 30, 2022.

Donald was hired at Champion/Volvo Motor Graders in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, in the Maintenance Dept. on November 26, 1970, at that time became a member of IAM&AW LL 1863, and retired in 1994.

At Donald’s request, cremation has taken place. Spring interment of ashes will take place at Balls Cemetery, Londesborough. A public Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #109, 56 Kingston Street, Goderich on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m..
