IAM LL2412 members at Kohltech Windows in North Bay ratify new contract

North Bay, ON – Today the members at Kohltech Windows in North Bay Ontario ratified a 3-year deal which included non-monetary improvements and more notably, salary increases of 19.5% over the three years.

The salary boosts are as follows: $2.32 in year one, $.60 in year two, and $.70 in year three. Truck drivers received the same increases with an additional $1.35.

“The salary increase was the memberships top priority and the bargaining committee delivered big time,” said Neil Giroux, Grand Lodge Representative for IAM Canada. “I want to especially recognise the two negotiators that were at the table with me – brother Cam Good and brother Jason MacEwen, as they did an exceptional job for their co-workers.”

IAM LL2412 members manufacture casement windows, double-hung, double slider, and picture windows, specialty and bay windows, custom doors, doors and sidelights, entry doors, French doors and garden doors for the home renovation and new home construction industry.

Kohltech Windows and Entrance Systems, based in Debert, Nova Scotia, have production facilities in Nova Scotia, Alberta and North Bay, Ontario.
