IAM Local Lodge 103 members at Cambridge Shelter Corporation (CSC) recently ratified a new collective agreement that improves wages, pension, vacation time, holiday scheduling practices, and union representation. The agreement also reduces the overtime threshold and removes the two-tiered system for paid personal emergency leave. Local 103 Firefighters Ratify New Collective Agreement

IAM Local Lodge 103 members at Norfolk County Fire station Number 1 ratified a new collective agreement this week. Improvements were made to how discipline is handled, member recognition and advancement, and increases to boot allowances. In addition, annual wage increases were written into the three year agreement. Our Norfolk County members are volunteer firefighters located in Simcoe Ontario.

IAM District 78 and Local 103 Collect Winter Jackets For Community Shelter Residents in Need

IAM District Lodge 78, along with Local Lodge 103, collected more than 40 winter jackets for Cambridge Shelter (Bridges) over the holiday season. Local 103 members employed by Bridges then distributed the jackets to residents of the shelter in need. District 78 Members Advocate for Workers in Washington, D.C. as Part of Union Leadership Training

IAM District Lodge 78 members Linda Brohman and Rose Hunt (Local Lodge 103), and Stephen Michalowicz (Local Lodge 1922) recently attended Leadership II union training at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Maryland. The week-long course builds on previous union training in Leadership I, with a focus on advanced steward training, collective bargaining, labour history, organizing, and political lobbying.
